We held our first Chiavetta's chicken barbecue at NCCS on Saturday. Our chicken bbq was a first Chiavetta's barbecue for us and it was a highly successful fundraiser for Northern Chautauqua Catholic School.
Becky Eckstrom, head of our HSA, thanked families, students and supporters for their contribution via social media on Sunday.
"Thank you to all the children and moms and dads who came out to help today! To all our ticket sellers and cookie bakers! We couldn't have done it without all of you! Our first Chiavetta's chicken bbq was a huge success!!"
We had several staff and parents help prepare plates as well as student involvement - taking orders, tickets, and delivering dinners through our drive-up service. As a patron and parent, seeing these students interact with the public made me feel so blessed to be a part of our Catholic school and incredibly proud of these students. Our NCCS students were so eager to wait on those who were purchasing dinners that they would race up to the awaiting patron and asked how they could help them. Each student displayed confidence, respect, and used their manners with everyone that I had the opportunity to see them interact with. The kids were beaming with pride and truly loved helping the fundraiser and their beloved school.
NCCS would like to thank everyone involved: patrons, parents, students and staff.
