NCCS students compete in area fairs

Even when they're not in the classroom, NCCS students are always hard at work! This summer, students have been busy entering their animals in area fairs, including the Erie County Fair and the Chautauqua County 4H groups' competitions at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds. Even though there was no official fair held in Chautauqua County this year, local 4H groups worked hard to put together impressive projects and raised their animals to continue to take part in this wonderful tradition!

Congratulations to Tyler C., Calvin M., Elise M. and Violet W. on their successful shows! At the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds, Tyler's cow came in 2nd and in 3rd for showmanship! Elise's cow came in 1st and for showmanship came in 4th! Calvin and Violet showed their calves in the Cloverbud Showmanship. Violet won Best of Breed Dutch Rabbit with her bunny, Shaun. She also, scored 51 points in Cloverbud Rabbit Showmanship! Way to go!

Violet placed 3rd in the PeeWee Showmanship class and her calf placed third in the Erie County Fair Holstein and WNY Regional Show with her leased calf, Saxton-Hill Good Night. She also worked with the Chautauqua County Dairy Princess at the Milk for Life booth promoting the Dairy Industry as a Dairy Ambassador.
